Group and touring coach groups

The Virginia Court Hotel in Cromer is a friendly privately owned hotel which welcomes touring coach groups and privately organised coach parties.

We are the only hotel in Cromer with an onsite private parking space large enough for a coach, which together with our 23 en-suite bedrooms sleeping up to 50 guests, makes us an ideal place to stay over.

We pride ourselves on the large number of repeat guests who return year on year for the freshly prepared, home cooked food, comfortable beds and great power showers.
It is the perfect place to stay & explore North Norfolk and is just a 3 minute stroll to Cromer’s sandy beaches, award winning Pier, cliff tops & shops.

Beautiful Norfolk, Norwich & The Norfolk Broads

Norfolk boasts the Medieval city of Norwich, the magical waterlands of the Norfolk Broads, a 90 mile coastline, a royal home at Sandringham, picturesque Georgian market towns such as Holt and the heaths and forests of the Brecks.

Add to this mix a number of stately homes, gardens, castles, museums, RSPB nature reserves, steam railways, boat trips, theatre and the famous Christmas Extravaganza at Thursford and Norfolk really does have something for everyone.

North Norfolk boasts one of the best coastlines & countryside in England, much of it designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This makes it ideal both for both walkers along the Norfolk Coast path and birdwatchers who can expect to see bitterns, terns, oystercatchers, avocets and marsh harriers inhabiting our diverse landscapes of pine forests, salt marshes and mudflats, cliffs and woodlands.

cromer coach group tours

If you are looking for inspiration to plan your group tour just ask as we can help you organise your itineraries based in part on feedback from past touring groups. Some sample trips could include:

DAY ONE:

Combine a visit to Sandringham, the country home of HM The King, with the Norfolk Lavender Farm or Bircham Windmill (both great lunch spots) and finish the day with a spot of Seal watching at Blakeney Point before heading back to Virginia Court Hotel for dinner.

DAY TWO:

Get up and enjoy the great outdoors on the Norfolk Broads with a boat trip, follow up with a 9 mile scenic Steam Train journey between Wroxham and Aylsham on the Bure Valley Railway. After a spot of lunch head towards Blickling Hall, a National Trust property and explore the house and gardens, just be sure to save room for an afternoon tea!

DAY THREE:

Start your day at the majestic Norwich Castle then head towards the cities Cathedral quarter to explore the beautiful medieval buildings and unique shops. Meander through the Lanes, you are sure to spot a lovely café to break up the shopping! Return to Cromer for an early dinner before heading off to see the last remaining end of Pier variety show – the famous Seaside Special on our award winning Pier of the Year.

DAY FOUR:

Take a trip to Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and Gardens, home to the BBC Springwatch programme for many years, followed by a stop in the religious village of Walsingham. Head over towards Thursford in the afternoon for the Steam engine collection (unless its Christmas time in which case catch the show!) and finish the day with a ride on The Poppy Line from pretty Holt back to Sheringham.

Depending upon numbers and time of year we can also arrange a private tour of one of Norfolk’s greatest secret gardens Corpusty Mill Garden (corpustymillgarden.co.uk). Please enquire with Reception for details.
